Former Kumasi Asante Kotoko striker William Opoku Mensah has landed in Rwanda ahead of a move to top-flight side Mukura Victory.
The talented striker joined Liberty Professionals at the second round of the Ghana Premier League and has already netted three goals in five games but has now departed the club for the East African country.
Opoku will append his signature to a two-year deal with the Huye Province-based club and will be the first signing of new Argentine manager Rodolfo Zapata.
One of the best clubs in the Rwandan League, Mukura Victory won the Rwandan Cup in 2019 and has produced lots of players over the years including Rwanda’s greatest footballer ever Jimmy Gatete.
The Rwandan Premier League is expected to start on May 1, 2021
