Ghana coach Otto Ad, says he is satisfied with his team’s 3-2 win over South Korea

Addo believes the victory will enhance the Black Stars’ chances of progressing to the knockout stage of the 2022 World Cup in Qatar.

Ghana survived a late scare to hold onto their first win in the tournament at the Education City Stadium in Al Rayyan on Monday.

And Ghana coach Otto Addo was expressed satisfaction with the spirited performance of his side.

“I am satisfied with the result of getting three points. In the beginning of the game, Korea put pressure on us, but we took the lead with a good free kick.” Otto Addo said at the post match conference

“The opponent changed tactics after the first half, but we struggled because we couldn’t block Korea’s cross. However, our spirit was strong, so we scored the third goal. I wish we had scored the fourth goal, but in the end we won. I did. I am satisfied.”

Liverpool and Juventus target Mohammed Kudus became the star boy after scoring twice as the Black Stars recovered from an opening day defeat to beat the Asian giants.

Southampton defender Mohammed Salisu netted his first-ever World Cup goal and a second half brace from Cho Guesung produced an entertaining game in Group H, ending the game 2:3 in favour of Ghana.

Ghana face Uruguay in the last group game of the 2022 FIFA World Cup tournament in Qatar on Friday afternoon with qualification at stake.
