Black Stars midfielder Afriyie Acquah has underscored that, Ghana’s chance of qualifying for the Russia 2018 world cup looks difficult but the players will fight till the end.
The senior national team is currently sitting 3rd on the league with just 1 point after losing and drawing to Egypt and Uganda respectively.
The Pharaoh’s of Egypt leads the pack with 6 points but the Torino midfielder has reckoned the Stars need to work above themselves and put the past behind if they want to ensure qualification.
“It is difficult judging by the Ghana’s position, we have to encourage ourselves, train hard and definitely we will put through”, the midfielder said.
Acquah has emphasized the team understands the enormous nature of the task but he is of the opinion, Ghana would pull through with the remaining matches.
“We have prepared well to face the rest of the matches”-Afriyie continued.
The world cup qualifiers resume later in the year [August] with Ghana taking on Congo.
