“Kudus’ Ghana Black Stars defeat the Central African Republic in a high-scoring game at the Baba Yara Stadium.

“Yɛma wo akwaaba, Mo!,” Westham United wrote on their Facebook page to congratulate their star man.

It was a must-win for Ghana on Monday night against the Central African Republic to put themselves in a good position for the sole slot in Group I.

Mohammed Kudus didn’t score but played a very key role for Ghana against the impressive Central African Republic. His runs, ball retention and ability to link up play with those around him helped Ghana pip CAR.

Jordan Ayew scored a sumptuous hattrick with Abdul Fatawu Issahaku adding the other goal.

Ghana currently sits on top of the group with 9 points from four games. The other group members play tomorrow.

Ghana’s next games in the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers are against Chad at home and away at Madagascar in 2025.
