The former Bechem United winger says he did not join Asante Kotoko because of the transfer ban imposed on the club by Otumfour Osei Tutu II.
Yaw Arnol signed a three-year deal with Ashantigold on Wednesday after training with Maxwell Konadu’s team for a month.
“I trained with the club for about a month but due to the transfer ban by Otumfour I decided to join Ashgold.” Arnol told Kumasi-based Fox FM.
Arnol also confirmed interest from Aduana Stars but the fact that Ashantigold are going to Africa next season influenced his decision.
“Both Aduana Stars and Kotoko were after me. I also know Ashgold will be playing in Africa and so I decided to join them.” the former MTN FA Cup MVP added.
The talented player is returning to Ghana football after spending time with Spanish lower tier side CF Fuenlabrada since 2017.
