Veteran Ghanaian Coach JE Sarpong has urged Kwesi Appiah not to invite Kevin Prince Boateng back into the team despite his sparkling form for his club Sassuolo in the Italian seri A.
The 31-year –old last featured for the Black Stars at the 2014 FIFA World Cup in Brazil.
The Sassuolo forward was sacked from the camp of the team during the tournament for showing insubordination.
Boateng has so far scored three goals in five games for his side and many have started calling for his inclusion ahead of Ghana’s upcoming double header against Sierra Leone in a 2019 AFCON qualifier.
But Coach JE Sarpong says the team does not need him.
“Every coach need good players in a team but not at the expense of indiscipline “Coach Sarpong told Joy Sports
“If you are a player and you are not discipline, it makes the coaches work very difficult because the younger players will emulate it from you the senior player ”
“He is doing well now scoring but does it warrant him a comeback into the team for me its a big no so if Appiah is overlooking him,i think its a step in the right direction “he added.
