Ghanaian young talent, Ibrahim Osman, marked his debut for Ghana’s national team in a friendly against Nigeria on Friday.
At just 19 years old, Osman received his first call-up and played under Coach Otto Addo in a match where Ghana suffered a 2-1 loss against the Nigerian Super Eagles.
Nigeria secured their win with goals from Cyriel Dessers and Ademola Lookman, while Ghana managed to reduce the deficit with a penalty converted by captain Jordan Ayew after a foul on Antoine Semenyo.
Osman, known for his promising performances, showcased his talent during his late appearance as a substitute for Jordan Ayew in injury time.
Having graduated from the Right to Dream Academy, Osman earned recognition for his exceptional skills, leading to a significant move to English Premier League club Brighton.
The winger is set to join Brighton officially in the summer after the club agreed on a reported fee of around £16 million with Danish side FC Nordsjaelland.
Looking forward, Osman aims to earn more playing time in Ghana’s upcoming matches.
Ghana’s national team will meet Uganda in their next international friendly on March 26 in Marrakech, Morocco.
