Ghanaian youngster, Edmond Addo starred in Moldova champions FC Sheriff Tiraspol champions league match against Red Star Belgrade in Serbia on Tuesday evening.
The youngster played the entire duration of the match and put up a stellar and gallant display in his team’s impressive 1-1 draw against the Serbian giants on the road.
Addo was in a dazzling form for the Yellow Blues as they held the favorites before the game to a 1-1 stalemate ahead of next week’s second leg clash in Moldova.
Frank Castaneda gave the visitors the lead after 33 minutes but their joy was cut short when former French Ligue 1 side St Étienne player Lois Diony equalized deep into first half stoppage time.
The second half was fairly a balanced game but both teams could not find the back of the net as it ended in a 1 – 1 stalemate.
Addo, who joined from AS Senica has been one of the best performers for the Moldavan champions in this year’s UEFA Champions League games.
