Ghanaian youngster Jeremie Frimpong has been named in the German Bundesliga Team-Of-The-Week after a sizzling performance against FC Mainz 05.
The former Celtic player dazzled for Bayer Leverkusen in their narrow win over Mainz 05 in the Bundesliga over the weekend.
He provided the assist for the only goal for Leverkusen and in the game as they won 1-0 to move to second on the league table after six matches with 13 points.
Frimpong set up fellow youngster, Florian Wirtz two minutes after the hour mark to score the winner for the home team on the 62nd minute mark after a goalless first 45 minutes of the match.
The 22-year-old former Manchester City player enjoyed full throttle in his team’s victory at the weekend in Germany top-flight and has been a pivot and a consistent performer for Leverkusen.
He has provided two assists in six matches this season for the Black and Reds outfit.
