Former Dreams FC attacker, Zuberu Sharani netted his first goal of the season in Zemplin Michalovce’s colours against MFK Ruzomberok on Saturday afternoon.
The 21-year-old Ghanaian attacker came from the bench to score the most important goal to secure all three points for the home team who are up against relegation.
Martin Regali scored the opening goal of the match to put the away team in the lead on the 32nd-minute mark.
Six minutes later, Igor Zofcak converted a spot-kick to make it all square after 38 minutes and seven minutes left to play showing on the clock before the break.
The Ghanaian forward was subbed on inside the 61st minute in place of Ricardo Philips with just 30 minutes left on the clock.
Three minutes to the end of the frenetic encounter, Sharani popped up to score his first goal of the season for the club to secure a vital home win as they continue to push for a safety spot after 29 games with 30 points and just a point behind the safety spot.
