Veteran Ghanaian trainer J.E Sarpong says the Ghana Football Normalization Committee (NC) has expanded the core mandate given to it by FIFA to execute, and believes that has irrefutably contributed to the slow pace toward their work.
Coach Sarpong observed that the core mandate given by FIFA to the NC which had to do with the reviewing of the existing GFA Statutes, seems to be taking a different dimension.
“They are becoming very slow, they need to stick to the core mandate given to them by FIFA, but they are expanding it and this complicates their work.’’ He told Angel TV’s Esther Abankwa.
The former Ebusua Dwarfs gaffer, further urged the Normalization Committee to update the general public on their activities, adding that disclosing their roadmap, would help issues except maybe, their roadmap is rough, hence the committee’s failure to do that.
FIFA named ex-Kotoko Board Member, Kofi Duah Adonteng as one of the members of the Formalization Committee in September.
The Committee is chaired by Dr. Kofi Amoah, and Former Airtel CEO Lucy Quist and Naa Odofoley Nortey completing the list of members.
The Committee replaced the Ghana Football Association’s Executive Committee and is responsible for the day-to-day running of the GFA.
The Normalization Committee work, according to FIFA should not exceed the end of March 2019.
