The ex-LA Galaxy superstar joined Ac Milan after leaving as a free agent in the States. Zlatan Ibrahimović has been prolific in front of goals this term notching in 15 goals in the league.
Currently sitting second on the league table, the club has managed to acquire a contact extension which will see the player turn 40 by the time the contract runs out.
Quizzed on the current contract extension negotiations between the club and the player by the media, Paolo Maldini (Coach of Milan) said “Yes, its just a matter of details…”. The current contract of the player expires in two Months which will have made him eligible to sign for any other European club or possibly a return to his country.
Ibrahimović rescinded his decision of retirement from national duties and joined the Swedish national team in March after 5 years of absence. The ex-Manchester United player is nursing an injury but still tops the club goal king chart.
