12 senior high schools in the Ashanti Region have been invited to partake in the maiden edition of the Past Athletes Association of Ghana ( PAAG) athletics championship.

The championship is scheduled to take place at the Babayara Sports Stadium from 24th to 25th of June 2022.

According to PAAG, the registered schools will be competing in the 4×100 and 4×400 relays (Male and Female).

This, according to the leadership of the PAAG, has long-lasting, definitive benefits, especially when athletic leaders create an environment that challenges and rewards the growth mindset.

The PAAG also believes that when participants are supported in this way, they develop lifelong habits that transcend high school.

The participating schools are; St. Louis SHS, Kumasi Girls SHS, Kumasi Wesley Girls SHS, Opoku Ware SHS, Prempeh College, Kumasi High SHS, T.I. Amass SHS, Islamic SHS, Osei Kyeretwie SHS, Kumasi Anglican SHS and Jachie Pramso SHS.
