Ajax manager Alfred Schreuder has hinted on how he convinced Ghanaian international Mohammed Kudus to stay at the club.
Kudus wanted to force a move to Everton in the summer after they expressed interest in him but Schreuder has pointed out that he talked to him to continue with the Dutch giants.
“During the period that Everton wanted him, I also told him: You are still going to be very important to us,” he said.
“That has come true and I have also indicated to him to think less in positions, but mainly in possibilities on the pitch. Having a completely different type of striker with him than Brobbey, I see as a great luxury.”
Kudus has been Ajax’s best player so far this season netting nine goals with three of them coming in the UEFA Champions League.
