The former UD Levante hitman scored the only goal of the match to secure all available three points for the home team to make it third straight home win.
His right-footed shot from the center of the box went straight into the bottom right corner on the 64th minute mark after a goalless first 45 minutes of the match to put the hosts 1-0 up.
The goal was all the newly promoted team needed to beat Boavista to win their fourth match this season.
The 26-year-old Ghanaian international forward has four goals in eight matches in the 2022-23 Liga Portugal since his return to his former club.
