Manchester United needed an 80th minute equalizer from substitute Anthony Elanga to save them from an embarrassing defeat against Atletico Madrid on Wednesday night.
The Champions League Round of 16 encounter finished 1-1.
Elanga – who has Cameroonian origin – came off the bench to replace the disappointing Marcus Rashford in the 75th minute and the Ralf Rangnick’s decision was rewarded as the 19-year old scored a great equalizer.
Elanga who also scored in the 4-2 win over Leeds United over the weekend was assisted by Bruno Fernandes’ defence splitting pass and the boy made no mistakes in the box to beat the Jan Oblak.
Atletico had taken the lead in the 7th minute thanks to a clever header from Joao Felix who was the most brilliant Atletico player of the night.
