A leading member of the governing New Patriotic Party (NPP), Gabby Otchere-Darko, has stated that Ghana didn’t deserve to win against Gabon in their 2021 Africa Cup of Nations tournament second group C game.

Ghana, four-time African Champions are winless in the ongoing Nations Cup tournament, having loss their opening game to Morocco by one nil before draw one all against Gabon on Friday night.

The Black Stars conceded in the 88th minute to draw with the Panthers in a match Ghana needed to win to stand a good chance of progressing to the knockout stage.

Captain Andre Ayew shot Ghana ahead in the 19th minute, scoring a spectacular goal but Jim Allevinah struck from close range in the 88th minute-mark to draw the game.

Reacting to the Black Stars draw via Twitter post, Grabby Otchere-Darko wrote: “Ghana did not deserve to win. That simple. Only one moment of brilliance- the Ayew goal. The rest was bundle of rudderless mediocre. The coach, frankly, is a disaster. He was happy to sit dangerously on a 1 nil advantage and it predictably ended to our disadvantage. Sad!.”
