Former Black Stars management committee chairman, George Afriyie, says Milovan Rajevac should be blamed for Ghana’s poor and shameful exit from the ongoing Africa Cup of Nations.
The Black Stars exited the tournament in the group stage with just a point after losing to Morocco and debutants Comoros.
Milovan Rajevac’s second stint seems to have come to an abrupt end following Ghana’s abysmal performance and exit in the ongoing tournament.
George Afriyie who occupied the position of Black Stars management committee chairman when the team reached the 2015 Africa Cup of Nations final in Equatorial Guinea says Milovan Rajevac should be sacked.
“In our game what was keeping Milovan Rajevac from doing substitutions when you have five substitutions in the game to do”, he quizzed on Accra-based Happy FM.
“Look at his changes, not playing the home-based players and others. I haven’t heard anybody complain that the government didn’t provide or the team lacked anything. The coach has to take responsibility for the failure”, he added.
Meanwhile, Ghana will play rivals Nigeria in the Qatar 2022 Fifa World Cup play-offs crucial game in March.
