The Member of Parliament for Assin Central- Hon. Kennedy Agyapong, says it’s possible for the Black Stars to qualify to the next phase of the ongoing Africa Cup of Nations tournament.
Ghana, four-time African Champions, have failed to win any of their two games which has led them in a dicey situation to make it out of the group.
Ghana now have to beat Comoros massively in their last group C game at before they can stand a chance to progress to the next stage of the tournament.
Speaking on Kumasi-based Akoma FM, the vociferous MP, called for a change in gaffer Milovan Rajevac’s tactics to aid the Black Stars qualification.
“It is possible we can qualify if we change tactics. There’s a disconnect between our midfield and attack. Dede did very well but our scoring ability is very low. We must concentrate throughout the game because a momentary loss of concentration can be costly,” he said.
Commenting further, Kennedy Agyapong said: “I have two Ghanaian players in Spain who wanted to play for Ghana but they rescinded their decision because of what we did to Asamoah Gyan. The GFA approached me to help convince those boys to play for Ghana but they declined because of the fear of being chastised by Ghanaians when they go wrong. We should not chastised our players, we should rather encourage them and we can beat Comoros convincingly to qualify.”
Ghana have always qualified from the group stage of the Afcon since 2008.
