Ghana Black Stars skipper Andre Ayew will play in Group E of the 2022/2023 Asian Champions League with his club Al Sadd.
The Qatari champions have been paired in the same group with Al Faisaly from Saudi Arabia, Al Wehdat of Jordan and Uzbekistan giants Al Nasaf.
Al Sadd won the 2021/2022 Qatari League unbeaten as they drew only two of the 22 games and will be hoping to transcend their good form into Asia’s biggest club soccer competition.
Ayew netted fifteen goals in 22 games for Al Sadd in the just ended league and he will be one of their key players in the Asian Champions League.
