Former Ghana international defender Samuel Osei Kuffour has compared Ghana versus Nigeria games to Hearts of Oak and Asante Kotoko matches ahead of the Kumasi showdown on Friday.
The Bayern Munich legend and member of the Black Stars management committee says in terms of matches between the two West African national teams , form is not significant, similar to Hearts of Oak and Kotoko meetings.
“They have more quality players than us. That’s obvious but form does not matter in Ghana v Nigeria games. It is just like Hearts of Oak and Kotoko games.” Osei Kuffour said on Kessben TV.
“I have seen Hearts of Oak come to Kumasi to beat a very good Kotoko side and so that is why I am saying form does not really matter in games between Ghana and Nigeria” he added.
The first leg kicks off tonight at 19 : 30 GMT whilst the reverse match happens in Abuja next Tuesday.
