Tamene Aschalew scored a 94th minute winner from the spot to record the first win of Ethiopia in the qualification series following their defeat against Ghana.
South Africa still lead the Group G table with 4 points. Ghana come next on 3 points and Ethiopia are 3rd also on 3 points. Zimbabwe take the last spot on the standings after Day 2.
