Joseph Paintsil scored his sixth goal of the season on Saturday 20 September 2025 but that was not enough to prevent a 3-2 home defeat to FC Cincinnati in Major League Soccer.
The Ghana international headed the ball into the bottom left corner after it was lofted long by Fagundez from the right side of the box.
FC Cincinnati had shot into a two-zero lead with the first goal registered on 10 minutes when Ender Echenique slotted a right-footed shot into the bottom right corner after being set up by Ferreira from the center of the box.
The second one was courtesy Brenner Souza in the 22nd minute. He buried a right-footed strike from the center of the box into the upper right side of goal following combination play with Denkey and Ferreira.
FC Cincinnati regained their two-goal cushion in the 88th minute when Brenner Souza curled a left-footed shot from the center of the box into the top right corner after a feed from Ferreira.
Paintsil provided an assist for Mauricio Cuevas to score in additional time with a left-footed shot from the right side of the box into the bottom left corner.
