US-based Ghanaian coach, Robert Sackey, is optimistic the Black Stars of Ghana can make it to the semis of the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar.
According to him, Ghana’s group is a favorable one, adding that with the right preparations by the stakeholders, a semi-final berth shouldn’t be beyond the team made of budding potential.
Ghana his housed in Group H of the World Cup alongside Uruguay, Portugal and South Korea.
“Ghana’s group is a good group and if we prepare well, we can make it to the next round and move on to make history this time around.
“I think the draw is one of the best groups for Ghana. I believe we can qualify from the group to the next stage,”.
“I believe Ghana can achieve President Akufo-Addo’s target of seeing the Black Stars reach the semi-finals and even making history by making it to the grand final in Qatar,” he told Graphic Sports.
Sackey, however, advised the current Kurt Okraku administration that aided the country’s qualification ahead of Nigeria in a two-legged tie to institute the right measures and structures in order for the team to thrive ahead of the global showdown in Qatar.
