Nigeria Super Eagles deputy skipper William Troost-Ekong is back to training at Watford after an injury scare.
The towering central defender got injured two weeks ago and missed his clubs 3-2 defeat to Arsenal with Roy Hodgson stating that he doesn’t know when he will return.
Fears were that Troost-Ekong will spent some months in the treatment room which means he could have missed the world cup qualifier with Ghana but sportswprldghana.com can confirm that he trained yesterday and may play against either Wolves today or Southampton on Sunday.
Troost-Ekong was one of the top performers for the Super Eagles in the 2021 AFCON and he will be very useful to their world cup qualification course.
