Charlton Athletic FC goalkeeper, Jojo Wallocott, has expressed his delight to represent the four times African Champions, saying it is a ‘dream come true’ for him.
The Engligh-born goalkeeper, however, adds that having the opportunity to play against five-time World Best player Cristiano Ronaldo, would be very fasntastic.
The calm-looking short stopper made his debut in an Africa Cup of Nations qualifying match against Zimbabwe in Cape Coast last September.
The former Swindon Town goalie put up an impressive performance in Ghana’s 3-1 victory and has since been the team’s safest pair of hands, relegating Richard Ofori to the bench.
Speaking on Kumasi-based Oyerepa FM/TV, Wollacott said: ”Yeh Yeh, it;s obviously a big team, big country, big players. I am sure we will wipe up up our preparations for the games. The magnitude of Ranaldo is the face of football ever known and recognised like peaople say so the opportunity to play against them will be fantastic.
“The most important thing is to represent Ghna at the World Cup, that’s the utimate goal and that’s a dream come true for me so we hope that when we get there we can be successful as possible,”
Ghana have been drawn in Group H alongside Portugal, South Korea and Uruguay.
They will kick off their campaign against Portugal at Stadium 974 on November 24, face South Korea at Education City Stadium on November 28 before they close group matches with a date against Uruguay at Al Wakrah Sports Complex on December 2.
