In a highly anticipated showdown at the Africa Cup of Nations tournament in Ivory Coast, Ghana’s head coach, Chris Hughton, has unveiled the starting XI that will take on Mozambique at 8 pm. The carefully selected lineup reflects Hughton’s tactical acumen and aims to secure a crucial victory for the Black Stars.

Leading the team from the back is the experienced Richard Ofori, donning the captain’s armband. Ofori’s goalkeeping prowess has been pivotal for Ghana, providing a solid foundation and instilling confidence in the defensive unit.

The defensive quartet comprises Denis Odoi, Alexander Djiku, Mohammed Salisu, and Gideon Mensah. This robust backline combines experience and youthful exuberance, offering a formidable barrier against Mozambique’s attacking threats.

In the heart of the midfield, Hughton has opted for a dynamic duo in Abdul Salis Samed and Majeed Ashimeru. Their ability to control the tempo of the game and dictate play will be crucial in both offensive and defensive transitions.

The attacking midfield trio includes the talented Mohammed Kudus, Joseph Paintsil, and the ever-dangerous Jordan Ayew. Their creative flair and goal-scoring prowess will be pivotal in unlocking Mozambique’s defense and ensuring Ghana’s dominance in the final third.

Upfront, Antoine Selorm Semenyo spearheads the Ghanaian attack. Known for his lethal finishing and physical presence, Semenyo aims to exploit any defensive vulnerabilities and make a significant impact in the crucial encounter.

Hughton’s strategic selection not only considers individual strengths but also emphasizes cohesive teamwork. The blend of youth and experience across various positions showcases the depth and versatility within the Ghanaian squad.

As the Black Stars prepare to face Mozambique, fans are eagerly anticipating an exhilarating display of skill, teamwork, and determination. The chosen starting XI reflects Hughton’s commitment to securing victory and advancing in the prestigious continental tournament.

Ghana’s football enthusiasts are rallying behind the team, confident that this carefully curated lineup will pave the way for success. The stage is set for a captivating clash, and the nation awaits with bated breath as the Black Stars aim to shine bright under the Ivory Coast night sky.
