Ghana’s Black Stars head coach Chris Houghton has his eyes firmly set on victory as his team prepares to face Mozambique in the final group game of the 2013 Africa Cup of Nations tournament on Monday.
Ghana is facing the country from East Africa as they battle for qualification in the ongoing Africa Cup of Nations in Abidjan.
A winner in the crucial game qualifies for the knockout stage depending on the happenings in the other group fixture between Egypt and Cape Verde.
Speaking ahead of the game, the gaffer stated that the Black Stars are eyeing a longer stay in the competition hence the desire to win against The Mambas to smoothen their ride to the next stage.
“This is a situation we would rather not be in. The performance and the goals we conceded I think the players and most people appreciate the level of performance especially against Egypt,” Chris Houghton said.
”The players know what it takes to get a result. There are no easy games in this tournament coming up against a Mozambique team that needs a win to progress. We need to win at all cost”. He concluded.
Ghana, is in dicey situation after gaining just a point after two games and winning against Mozambique is needed if they harbour any dream of making it beyond the group.
