Southampton defender Mohammed Salisu has become a major doubt for Ghana’s 2023 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualifying game against Angola on Thursday, 23rd March, 2023.
The defender picked up a knock during Ghana’s training session at Baba Yara Stadium on Tuesday.
Salisu couldn’t train in the team’s final training session on Wednesday.
Black Stars coach, Chris Hughton confirmed the player is doubtful for tomorrow’s encounter at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium tomorrow.
“Our only injury concern is Salisu; he’s a doubt for the game because he’s suffered some recent injuries at his club,” the former Brighton boss said at his pre-match presser.
The 23-year-old defender has only returned from injury and played his first 83 minutes in for the club against Tottenham on Saturday.
