Annor Walker, the coach of the Black Galaxies, has selected his 40-man preliminary roster for the CHAN competition in 2023.
Victories over Benin and Nigeria ensured Ghana qualified for the tournament for the first time since their last participation in 2014.
Ghana’s Black Galaxies have been placed in a group alongside Morocco, Sudan, and Madagascar.
Daniel Afriyie Barnieh and Ibrahim Danlad, a Black Stars combo, were among the players called.
With only a few months until the competition starts, Annor Walker’s team will start getting ready at the Ghanaman Soccer Centre of Excellence in due course and will then narrow the squad down to the core group.
While just two Kotoko players were summoned, five members of Hearts of Oak, including Gladson Awako and Korsah, were included in the preliminary team.
Mohammed Alhassan, the vice-captain for Hearts of Oak, who was instrumental in the qualifiers, has been dropped from the team.
The seventh edition of the competition will be played in Algeria from January 13th to February 4th 2023.
This is the Black Galaxies’ provisional list to begin preparation for the tournament:
