Asante Kotoko will seek to get back to winning ways when they entertain Basake Holy Stars at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium on Sunday.
Kotoko’s league title race hit a bump as they dropped vital points at Young Apostles on Wednesday but returning home on Sunday should boost their confidence. They’ve secured two wins, two draws and suffered just a single defeat in their last five outings.

Kotoko are currently second in the league table with 39 points, having scored the joint most goals (24) and conceded 14 in the process. The Porcupine Warriors come into this game with 100% win record in their last five home matches without conceding in four of those games.
They are the fourth best home performing club in the league after 11 home matches.
Basake Holy Stars are winless in their last five league matches (D3, L2), having scored 21 and conceded 23 goals. They are currently 13th in the league table with 24 points. Abdulai Gazale’s men are the fourth weakest away side in the league following one win, two draws and seven defeats away from home.
Asante Kotoko are playing Basake Holy Stars at home in the league for the first since the Aiyinase lads gained promotion into the league this season.
