Philip Boakye, the head coach of Ghana’s FUTSAL team, exudes confidence in his team’s prospects as they gear up for the championship in Morocco this month.
After a prolonged absence from the tournament, Ghana’s FUTSAL team secured their return following a qualification victory over Ivory Coast.
With the team departing for Morocco last week, Coach Boakye expressed satisfaction with their preparation, which included a victorious friendly against Raja Casablanca’s FUTSAL club, winning 5-4.
Boakye credited the Football Association, particularly the president, for their support, emphasizing the team’s readiness for the upcoming tournament.
“We have enjoyed good preparations and support from the FA, especially the president. We are very confident that we will win this tournament and also qualify for the World Cup,” Boakye stated in an interview with the GFA media.
Ghana’s campaign kicks off with a match against Zambia, followed by a showdown with host nation Morocco. The team will conclude their group stage fixtures against Angola, aiming to secure positive results and advance in the tournament.
