Ghana’s Right to Dream Academy achieved their first win at the 2024 Gothia Cup on Tuesday, July 16, with a 2-0 victory over Moldovan side Academia de Fotbal Radu Rebeja.
The Western Region-based team bounced back from a disappointing start in the tournament, where they had faced a 3-2 defeat against Swedish team IF Brommapojkarna in their opening match.
In their second game, the U16 squad from Old Akrade delivered a remarkable performance, demonstrating their determination and passion to secure the crucial win.
Reflecting on their initial loss, Right to Dream Academy learned from their mistakes and came out strong against Academia de Fotbal Radu Rebeja.
“We showcased our determination and played our hearts out to secure this much-needed victory,” the team stated.
Looking ahead, the academy is eager to build on this success. As the defending champions from the 2023 Gothia Cup, where they defeated AIK to win the title, Right to Dream Academy is focused on repeating their triumph this year.
