CAF has officially confirmed that Saturday, 9th August 2025, is the date for the draw for the preliminary rounds of the CAF Champions League and CAF Confederation Cup.
Ghanaian club Bibiani Gold Stars, who won the 2024-25 Ghana Premier League for the first time in their entire history, will participate in the premier competition. The Miners will learn their opponents on Saturday.
Two-time CAF Champions League winners Asante Kotoko of Kumasi will represent Ghana in the Confederation Cup. They will also learn their opponents for the preliminary round on the same day.
The Porcupine Warriors qualified for the competition after winning the MTN FA Cup, where they defeated an Access Bank Division One side, Golden Kick, 2-1 in the finals at the University of Ghana Sports Stadium in Legon.
The draw will be conducted in Tanzania for the first time at 1 pm local time and 10 am in Ghana.
60 clubs will compete in the CAF Champions League, while 58 will fight for the ultimate in the Confederation Cup.
