Black Stars forward Brandon Thomas-Asante has expressed his unwavering commitment to ensuring success while representing Ghana.

The Coventry City striker, who has been called up for the upcoming 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualifiers against Angola and Niger, is determined to make a significant impact on the national team.

Thomas-Asante, who made his debut for Ghana in June during the 2026 World Cup qualifiers against the Central African Republic, joined his Black Stars teammates for training on Monday at the Accra Sports Stadium. With the crucial match against Angola approaching, the forward shared his thoughts on his role within the team.

“I know on the pitch, I want us to be victorious, and when I come on, it’s more of an opportunity to make a difference,” Thomas-Asante told the media after the first training session. “I’ve got that in my heart that I want us to be successful as a nation. I have seen what we’ve done in the past, and we want to go on and achieve big things like that and more, so I’m ready to do my bit to contribute.”

The Black Stars are scheduled to train at the Baba Yara Stadium later today, with their final training session set for Wednesday. The match against Angola will kick off at 16:00 GMT on Thursday, September 5.

Following the Angola match, the Black Stars will travel to Berkane, Morocco, for their second Group F game against Niger on Monday, September 9.
