Golden Kick SC chairman Joseph Kwabena Epson has expressed confidence that his side can go all the way to lift the 2023/24 MTN FA Cup, regardless of who they meet in the final.
The Division One League Zone Three outfit has been one of the standout teams in this season’s competition, having knocked out Ghana Premier League heavyweights including record FA Cup winners Hearts of Oak and Karela United. Their impressive run has earned them a place in the semifinals, where they will face fellow second-tier side Attram De Visser at the TNA Stadium on Saturday, May 10.
Speaking to Asempa FM, Epson said his team fears no opponent and believes they have already proven their credentials.
“We’re not afraid to face any team in the final. We’ve already met two Premier League clubs,” he said.
“One of them is Hearts of Oak, one of the best teams in Ghana. If we could beat Hearts of Oak, it would be no news if we beat Kotoko or Berekum Chelsea.”
Golden Kick have played five matches in the competition so far, scoring four goals and keeping four clean sheets—a defensive record that underlines their resilience and discipline.
Their semifinal opponents, Attram De Visser, have also had a strong tournament, scoring five goals and conceding three, including a notable win over Bibiani Gold Stars in the Round of 16.
Saturday’s all-Division One semifinal promises to be a tightly contested clash, with a place in the final—and potential giant-killing glory—on the line.
