Black Stars head coach Carlos Queiroz has stressed that Ghana’s World Cup 2026 Round of 32 clash against Colombia will be decided by mentality, courage, and determination as much as skill.
“These are the games that matter. It’s not only about talent, it’s about character, attitude, courage and bravery over 90 minutes.”
Queiroz also highlighted the sense of responsibility on his team following the exit of other African sides in the knockout stage, urging Ghana to step up and carry the continent’s hopes further:
“The responsibility is on us to ensure Ghana becomes the next African nation to reach the Round of 16.”
The experienced coach believes Ghana must combine discipline with bravery as they aim to overcome Colombia and progress deeper into the tournament.
