Black Stars forward Inaki Williams fulfilled his pre-match promise by finding the net in Ghana’s emphatic 5-0 victory over Chad in the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers at the Accra Sports Stadium.
The 30-year-old Athletic Bilbao striker ended his goal drought for the national team with a well-taken header in the 32nd minute, connecting with a Kingsley Schindler cross from a recycled free kick.
Ahead of the game, Williams had vowed to score his second goal for Ghana, and he delivered with a composed finish. His first goal for the Black Stars also came via a header—netting a late winner against Madagascar at the Baba Yara Stadium earlier in the qualifiers.
With the victory, Ghana now tops Group I with 12 points as they prepare for a crucial clash against Madagascar on Monday, March 24.
