English-born Ghanaian forward Antoine Semenyo has urged Ghanaians to throw their full support behind the Black Stars as they prepare for the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers against Chad and Madagascar later this month.
The 25-year-old is currently enjoying a sensational season with AFC Bournemouth, delivering standout performances in the English Premier League. Over the weekend, he once again stole the spotlight with a Man of the Match display against Wolves in the FA Cup.
Semenyo has been in fine form this campaign, registering nine goals and five assists in 30 appearances for the Cherries, attracting interest from top clubs, including Liverpool and Arsenal.
In a video shared on the Ghana Football Association’s Facebook page, Semenyo emphasized the importance of Ghanaian fans’ support ahead of the crucial qualifiers.
“Black Stars fans, Antoine Semenyo here. As you know, we’ve got our World Cup qualifiers against Chad and Madagascar, and I’m just reaching out to say continue praying for us, continue being with us, and support us.”
“We need you more than ever. These two games are so important and crucial for our qualification to the World Cup, so please continue praying for us. We look forward to seeing you, and hopefully, we can get two wins.”
The Black Stars will host Chad on March 21 in Accra before traveling to Morocco to face Madagascar on March 24 as they look to strengthen their chances of securing a spot at the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
