Chris Hughton is facing a challenge for Ghana’s second 2026 World Cup qualifier against Comoros as two key players, Mohammed Kudus and Daniel Amartey, are sidelined with injuries.
Daniel Amartey, a defender, did not pass a late fitness test for the crucial Group I match scheduled for Tuesday, November 21, 2023, as per a statement from the Ghana Football Association on Monday morning. Amartey sustained an injury in the previous game against Madagascar, being replaced by Kasim Adams.
Additionally, Mohammed Kudus is expected to miss the game after reportedly getting injured during training on Monday. The absence of the West Ham United midfielder will be a significant setback for the team, aiming for consecutive wins in the qualifiers.
The match is set to kick off at 4 pm at the Stade de Moroni.
