England midfielder Jude Bellingham has described his side’s goalless draw with Ghana as “very frustrating” after both teams shared the spoils in their second Group L fixture at the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
The Real Madrid star featured for the Three Lions on Tuesday night as they were held by a disciplined and well-organised Black Stars side in a tightly contested encounter.
Despite enjoying long spells of possession, England were unable to find a breakthrough, with Ghana’s compact defensive structure proving difficult to dismantle throughout the match.
Speaking after the game, Bellingham admitted his disappointment with the result but also acknowledged Ghana’s tactical discipline and effort.
“Very frustrating. It feels like in all the tournaments I’ve been to, it’s been the same — decent performance to start and a good win. And then just the second one frustrated a little bit with how they defended, how they set up. Credit to them,” he said.
Following the draw, both England and Ghana remain level at the top of Group L with four points each, heading into their final group-stage matches against Panama and Croatia respectively.
