Ghana captain Andre Ayew will be making his seventh appearance at the Africa Cup of Nations when the 2021 tournament begins in Cameroon on Sunday.
The former Olympique Marseille winger – has 22 goals in 100 caps for the Ghana national team and will be adding more caps in Cameroon during the 33rd edition of the continent’s biggest soccer competition.
Andre made his AFCON debut in 2008 when Ghana hosted the tournament.
The son of Abedi Ayew went on to play at the 2010, 2012, 2015, 2017 and 2019 tournaments after taking a brief hiatus from international football that saw him miss the 2013 AFCON in South Africa.
Asamoah Gyan first achieved the milestone of appearing at the AFCON seven times in a row during the last edition in Egypt and Andre is set to join that rich list.
