Ghanaian giants Asante Kotoko and betting company Betika have sealed a bumper partnership agreement.
The deal is worth 1.3 million cedis and will run for two years, both parties announced on Wednesday.
Kotoko will receive 630,000 Ghana cedis per annum and in-kind provision of balls, nets and other sports equipment.
Also through the partnership, Betika will seek to nurture and improve the club’s visibility and help scout for talent from other grassroot football activities across the country.
Kotoko chief executive officer Nana Yaw Amponsah lauded the agreement signed with Betika and believes their marriage will be one of the best.
“We are honoured by this partnership and would like to welcome Betika to the Porcupine family,” Nana Yaw Amponsah said.
“We are certain that through our partnership we will be able to do a great deal in ensuring that both our organizations have the best visibility. We certainly look forward to a wonderful partnership.
“The Porcupine Warriors believe this sponsorship will go a long way towards not only easing the club’s financial obligations but also increasing the league’s monetary incentive,” he added.
