Senegal goalkeeper Edouard Mendy has reached his sixth career final as Chelsea beat Al Hilal by 1-0 to reach the final match of the 2021 FIFA Club World Cup on Wednesday.
The reigning FIFA Best Goalkeeper of the year and Africa Cup of Nations champion was an unused substitute during Wednesday’s match as Kepa Arrizabalaga played the full game.
After helping Senegal to win their first ever Africa Cup of Nations title last Sunday in Yaounde, Mendy could win another silverware on Saturday with Chelsea.
