Former Ashantigold SC Coach Hans van der Pluim says the Ghana Premier League does not have enough top talents after the calls to include a handful of players on the local scene into the Black Stars team.
The former Premier League coach insisted that the current domestic top-flight league in Ghana lacks quality players.
“I believe we all have to recognize that the quality has gone down, partly due to the weather which made it difficult for the players to prepare, but I don’t think the Ghana Premier League has enough elite talents for the Black Stars,” he told Vision 1 FM.
According to him, the Black Stars coaches must choose the top Ghanaian players, and only a few local players make the cut.
“Only few of the local players can make the cut when the coaches are selecting the right and players for the senior national team”, he added.
