Bibiani Gold Stars needed a second half solitary strike from striker Steven Owusu to beat Medeama SC on Sunday afternoon during Week 19 of the Ghana Premier League.
The home team were buoyed by a strong crowd as Bibiani marked the Independence Day celebration in a grand style.
The city of Bibiani is known for it’s outstanding celebration on March 6 as scores of people thronged to the Dun’s Park to watch the Premier League encounter.
The Premier League debutants were busy during the second transfer window of the season as they signed Medeama striker Prince Opoku Agyemang, Faruk Adams from Aduana Stars and Frank Amankwa from Eleven Wonders.
