18 Matches, 12 goals, 4 Assists: Aduana Stars starman Bright Adjei deserves Black Stars call-up for Nigeria clash

Twelve Goals Hero, Bright Adjei deserves to be call-up into Black Stars team for the upcoming FIFA World Cup Qualifiers against Nigeria this month.

The former Tema Youth player has been in a fine form for the Ogya Boys this season in the Ghana Premier League and has made a case for himself to earn a Black Stars call-up.

Adjei has one hat-trick, one brace and has scored once in at least eight matches this season for the two-time Ghana Premier League winners.

With his 12 goals this season, only Ghana’s captain Andre Ayew has more goals than the Aduana Stars FC star man in the 2021-22 campaign.

In his last three games, the attacker has scored Aduana Stars all six goals leading to three consecutive wins in the league which has taken his team to second on the league table.

He has been very consistent for Aduana Stars FC and this season has been outstanding for the Ogya Boys.

Adjei is the second top goal scorer in the Ghana Premier League this campaign and is just one goal behind top scorer, Franck Thierry Mbella Etouga of Kumasi Asante kotoko SC after week 19.

He is also the second top scoring Ghanaian in top-flight football behind Andre Ayew of Al Sadd SC in Qatar.

With Ghana lacking goals at the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations tournament in Cameroon, Adjei could be a good addition to the team for the Stars game against rivals Nigeria.

The 27-year-old has played in 16 matches this season and has 12 goals and four assists to his name in ongoing 2021-22 Ghana Premier League season.
