Manchester City might have failed in the UEFA Champions League this season but it is the English Premier League where some teams have been tortured by City’s brutal attacking football.
The team of Pep Guardiola – eliminated by Real Madrid in the Champions League semis – has scored ten goals in their last two league games to take title advantage over Liverpool who drew against Tottenham Hotspurs some days ago.
City hammered Newcastle by 5-0 on 8th May and three days later Wolves suffered same fate on their own turf being outclassed by the Citizens by 5-1 as Kevin de Bruyne alone scored four of those goals.
After 36 matches, City lead the league standings with 89 points – three points clear of second-placed Liverpool.
