2023 AFCONQ: Otto Addo heaps praise on Crystal Palace forward Jordan Ayew after top-notch display in Madagascar win

The Black Stars posted a emphatic 3-0 victory against Madagascar in the matchday day 1 of the of the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier on Wednesday at the Cape Coast Stadium.

The Black Stars failed to get a goal after an incredible attacking minded display in the first half.

Back from recess, Ajax attacking midfielder Mohammed Kudus opened the lead for the Black Stars in the 54th minute.

Two minutes later after Kudus’ strike, Afena-Gyan scored to extend the Ghanaian team’s lead to 2-0 when he connected a good pass from Gideon Mensah after Jordan Ayew’s corner kick.

In the 87th minute substitute Osman Bukari scored a fine goal after a briiliat run to give Ghana a 3-0 win

Head coach Otto Addo had praises for Jordan Ayew at the final whistle.

“Jordan played very well, he created numerous chances but their goalkeeper was excellent,” he said during the post-match press conference.
