Callum Hudson-Odoi, on loan from Chelsea, has opted to remain silent over his international future despite reportedly being named in Ghana’s provisional squad for the World Cup.
The Bayer Leverkusen forward, who has played three times for England, has seen very few opportunities since his last game and is reportedly interested in switching nationalities to play for Ghana.
When asked if he had held talks with the Ghana Football Association, Hudson-Odoi remained vague about the move he had taken in developing his international career.
“Nothing I would say at the moment on camera. I would love to tell you, but I couldn’t say,” he told BBC.
“At the moment it’s more just focusing on the best I can do here [Bayer Leverkusen]. You never know what will happen in the future.
“Obviously the Ghana-England situation has been on my mind for a while. But I think right now it was more of the focus of coming here, really getting myself back into shape, playing a lot of games and just feeling like myself. Right now my mind is just open.”
